IIG Inspectors performed Chlorides, Nitrates & Sulfides (CSN) testing on 02 fuel storage tanks at Andersen Air Force Base due to the Dept. Defense’s specifications, an AMPP (SSPC) QP5 inspection company was required to perform CSN throughout the surface preparation process for rehabilitating 02 critical fuel storage tanks. IIG performed extensive testing holding the contractors to the specified standard of surface cleanliness. Once it was determined that the defined standard needed to be changed to accommodate the tropical conditions, IIG worked with all stakeholders on the project to determine an acceptable variance from the specifications to get this critical infrastructure returned to service.
